My fab sister and her husband (also fab) came to Bkk on Sept 2nd to visit! Since then it has been fun and games and some travel and vacation for the Bronson family! We spent a few days in Bangkok before heading to northern Thailand to Chiang Mai, and then to eastern Thailand, to the island of Samet.
Here are some snaps of our adventures:
Stacy visited my “class” with my Thai tutor to meet her and see our office. Here we are hard at work;)
Lunch at the market where we eat everyday….pad thai and fried rice, the staples
Stacy also got to come to the brunch I have on Wednesdays!
shopping in the Bangkok night market
massages! mmmm…
Jim Thompson Cafe for Thai food in Bangkok
THEN….Chiang Mai.
we rented motorbikes to get around one day.
Probably not the best idea to be taking pictures while driving down the highway, but…
how do boys manage to find the one single game in the entire Celadon Pottery outlet??
umbrella factory
bugs for lunch anyone?
lounging on our hotel room patio

Cooking school! Here we triumphantly display our chicken wrapped in pandanus leaves. We folded them all by ourselves. What big girls.
Here is our spicy duck curry and chicken ginger stir-fry. Gourmet, no?
Coconut shell ladles…..
and making curry paste for our duck curry in the mortar & pestle. My bicep was sore the next day. Thai cooking is hard work!
Out to dinner in CM. Thanks for the dress Bronson girls!
A wat near our hotel
AND….On to Samet Island, where we stayed in beach-side bungalows.
Here we are on the ferry on the way over. Unbeknownst to us, a bag of dead fish sat at our feet and was leaking dead fish juice onto the boat floor, where our bags sat absorbing it for the entire 35-minute boat ride over to the island. Mmmmmm!!!
I caught this cute beach lounger reading
the beach was covered with these miniscule round balls.

chess again, except with the sound of waves crashing in the background (oh, and dogfights too)
the boys whipped out the kidema rackets again and played all day.
I demonstrate how to keep the sweat from dampering our dinners
And….all good things must come to an end. ;( Heading back to the mainland to catch a bus back to Bangkok.

looks amazing! i am jealous that y’all got to hunt for crabs (poos?) without me, and for some reason, i was really about to imagine the fish smell . . .
seriously though, i am so glad y’all had that time together! i can’t wait to hear more asap.
love
